3/24/2024 0 Comments Oceanic geo 5![]() ![]() The Geo 2.0 includes Oceanic's exclusive Dual Algorithm Buhlmann ZHL-16c based PZ+, or DSAT based, algorithm, deep stop option and a redesigned user interface with "step back" which allows forward and backward navigation through menus and settings. btw although the plastic housing shows some wear I still wear it to the office. In the beginning it was difficult to figure everything out but once you have it setup the way you like it you are probably rarely going to need to go deep into the menus. I have read about some people complaining about temperature inaccuracy, I cannot comment on that as the Red Sea is generally warm and temperature is not on and important peace of data to me, however the rest of the dive parameters are spot on and consistently accurate. ow battery warning and I just changed it, not bad battery lifetime if you ask me. I've had it now for almost exactly 2 years, its history log says 144 dives with a total of 124 hours of bottom time. Good old Scan 4 which served me for 12 years and an Aeris console rig which I was not fond of due to limited bottom time, then I did my homework and looked for the dive computer that was "generous" with its bottom time and the Geo2 fit the bill. ![]() Been diving regularly for the past 30 years of my life and have owned 3 computers during this time. ![]()
